Friday 15 March - World Book Day Celebrations

Dear Parents and Carers,
As you are aware, St John's had an Ofsted inpsection on 29-30 January 2019 and we are now pleased to provide you with the final report.



This Lent we’re challenging you to give it up!


St John's Handball team had their first ever game beating Biddick Academy 12-4. The group have only been playing the sport since September and were exceptional on the night showing fantastic team spirit.

Year 8 Boys rugby team won the Durham County Plate without losing a single game. Congratulations to all the boys involved!

St John's are currently 10th in the world for our scores and progress on the global language learning website Language Nut.

Points only last for 30 days so students should keep accessing Language Nut to build up their points, earn rewards and practice for their upcoming assessments or exams.

St John's students are busy preparing for their annual concert at Bishop Auckland Town Hall, Monday 11 February at 6.30pm. The concert is themed all around love and promises to be a superb evening as students will showcase the school choir, orchestra, rock bands and a number of vocal and instrumental solo's.
Tickets are on sale from main reception priced £5 and £3 concessions. this concert is usually a sell out so don't be slow!
