Year 11 Letter

Dear students,

I thought it might be useful to remind you of the arrangements for our Prom, which we are celebrating at Redworth Hall on the 1st July 2011, from 7.30pm until 11.30pm.

The drinks reception and evening celebrations will be held in the Surtees Lounge, which you should access via the Conference Centre entrance. Our photographer, Mr Anderson, will be ready to take your individual or group photographs from 7.30pm onwards. He will give you a slip of paper on which to write your name and address. As mentioned in school, he is happy to provide key rings at a cost of £3.00, as well as the £10.00 photographs.

The meal will be served between 8.30pm and 9.30pm, followed by a disco for the remainder of the evening. Redworth Hall staff are only permitted to serve soft drinks, as students are under the age of 18. Any student who appears to have been drinking, or who is suspected of drinking alcohol during the Prom, will be asked to leave and parents will be contacted.

Our Prom should be the culmination of our Leaver's Celebrations and I am sure that it will be an enjoyable evening. May I remind you that the drinks are very expensive, and so to this end I have asked for water to be available throughout the evening.

A number of students have not yet purchased the Year Books they ordered. These may be collected at any time before the Prom, and I will also take some to Redworth Hall for any students who wish to purchase them on the night.

I wish you every success in your GCSE examinations and your future plans.

Yours sincerely

Mrs L. C. Campbell
