Lazarian Art Workshop

The Art Department hosted a very successful 2 day workshop with the “high end“ product designer Liam Hopkins. Liam is a very successful designer who produces bespoke products such as furniture, jewellery and ornaments; his clientele include Marriot Hotel, Bloomsbury and Habitat. The students designed and produced a lampshade based on simple geometric principles.

Great Revision using SAM Learning- 10 Hour Challenge

St John's students have been making great progress with revision using SAM Learning. There are currently 160 active users in Year 11, 100 in Year 10 and 181 in Year 9. The avergae user in Year 11 spends 6.12 hours on revision and learning activities.

Year 9 Retreat

In March the whole of Year 9 participated in a retreat day at the Xcel Centre, Newton Aycliffe. The day was led by Steve Murray, a Christian mime artist who really got Year 9 thinking with his mimes and stories about the challenges faced by teenagers today.
