Audition details:
Audition preparation to be held on Monday 30th October 3-4pm
(audition material will be taught and given out here so all must attend)

Actual auditions to take place on Monday 6th November, 2-4:30pm

Students wanting to audition for a principal role will be required to sing a solo and perform a prepared acting piece.

What a lovely surprise we got at Breakfast club, Miss Helens who has now retired came into say goodbye to us, we wish Miss Helens a very, long and happy retirement.

The Big Breakfast returns on Thursday 19th October.

 

Students in Year 9 and above have the opportunity to attend an event called The Source which is led by the Diocesan Youth Ministry Team. The event will take place at St Mary's Cathedral, Newcastle. The sessions give young people from across the diocese the opportunity to celebrate their faith through prayer, music and drama.

From 5 September we are requesting that all visitors to the school, including parents, sign in at Main Reception at the front of the school.  If visitors are driving to St John’s then please use available parking in the visitors’ car park adjacent to Main Reception.

 



St John's Year 11 students have just achieved a fantastic set of KS4 results. Students have worked hard throughout the year and have been rewarded for this effort across many subject areas. Below is an summary of some of the achievements:

Students from Years 7-12 donned their gangster suits and flapper dresses at the start of July as they geared up for their production of ‘Bugsy Malone’.

Set in 1920’s New York, ‘Bugsy Malone’ follows rival gangsters and their ‘gals’ as they fight for power, fame and love. Featuring the famous songs, ‘Bad Guys’, ‘Fat Sam’s Grand Slam’ and ‘My Name is Tallulah’, the show was filled with comedy moments, lively dance routines and plenty of splurge gun fights!

A group of 25 Sixth Form students and staff returned this week after an amazing two weeks in Iquitos, Peru working alongside Joe Plumb and The Peru Mission. The group assisted with the building of dining facilities in a local school and led workshops and activities at a children’s centre.
