St John's are celebrating another successful year at GCSE. Overall the school has achieved 69% 5 A*-C including English and Mathematics. 74% of our students achieved 5 A*-C grades. Numerous students achieved 5A*-A grades, 12 students achieved 10+ A*-A grades.

We are proud to congratulate all our students on achieving another fantastic set of results with an overall pass rate of 99%!

We are very proud of all our students  who have achieved a brilliant set of results. It is incredible to see that a quarter of all entries achieved an A* and almost half of all our students achieved two A*-B grade qualifications. Gerard Moran, Head Teacher and Lisa Byron, Head of School

Dear Parent / Carer

Uniform for September 2014

In order to plan for the new academic year we would like to remind you of the uniform that is required for students in Years 7 – 11:

Wednesday, 2 July 2014

Dear Parents/Carers,

As you may be aware from the recent media coverage, the National Union of Teachers, Unite, Unison and GMB have balloted their members with regards to taking industrial action on 10 July 2014. This is in relation to their concerns over pay and conditions.

The action (a one day strike) is not against St John’s but is part of national industrial action organised by the unions.

In order to celebrate our student's achievements we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our Year 11 Celebration Mass and Presentation which will be held on Monday, 16 June 2014. This is a unique opportunity for the year group to come and celebrate together. The event includes a Celebration Mass which will begin at approximately 10:45am. The presentation will begin at approximately 11:45am with a buffet lunch to follow.

As another busy and exciting term draws to an end, we are able to reflect on the many wonderful opportunities that have been enjoyed by students, staff and parents/carers at St John’s.
