Students will learn to explore and evaluate electronic products. The course is practically based and skills and knowledge are taught through designing and making. Students will be taught to recognise a design need or problem, draw up a specification and generate design solutions. Students will gain an understanding of how CAD/CAM works and how it can be applied in electronics. Students will learn to: use the appropriate tools and equipment required to design a product; design a circuit board using computer software; fabricate the box or packaging for the circuit to make a complete working electronic product.
