Christmas Holiday 2016/2017
As we draw to the end of this busy term, we would like to share with you our St John’s newsletter which will be sent out by email on Monday 19 December. When you read through our newsletter you will see that it is full of amazing accounts of how our students have made the most of their own special gifts, living life to the full by taking advantage of all the wonderful opportunities available to them. The joy, enthusiasm and fulfilment that our young people generate, when they commit themselves to the many activities outlined in the newsletter, enrich our whole community and, on behalf of our Governors and staff, we would like to congratulate our students on their endeavours as we are incredibly proud of their achievements.
If you would like to request a hard copy of our Christmas newsletter, please contact Vicky Howard, Headteacher’s PA, on [email protected] by 10am on Tuesday 20 December and we can arrange to send you a copy.
As a reminder, we will be breaking up for the Christmas holidays on Tuesday, 20 December at 1.05pm with the usual school transport being provided. This day will be a non-uniform day with a donation of £1 per student being collected in advance for our worthy causes which include Project Peru, and the UNICEF Zika Virus Appeal. All of the money raised will help to support vulnerable communities in Peru and Brazil where our Sixth Form students work with children and individuals who are less fortunate than ourselves. Following the Christmas period, students return to school on Wednesday, 4 January 2017.
On behalf of all the Governors and staff at St John’s, I would like to wish you and your families a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful break.
Yours sincerely
Lisa Byron
Headteacher
