Poppies

Mr Maddison’s talented craft workers with Royal Marines Si and Steve and Officer Training Cadets James and Harry who visited St John’s last week to meet the boys who are creating 50 beautiful hand-crafted steel poppies for sale to raise funds for the Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes. The students presented the Marines with a poppy which will be displayed proudly in their Unit in Newcastle. The four visitors also spent some time with Miss Hopper’s Year 12 Wider Key Skills class and Mr Robertson’s Year Spanish class.
