The BTEC Art and Design group have been commissioned to decorate the wall outside of Art2. Students decided on a jungle scene inspired by the work of the renowned artist Henri Rousseau and a contemporary Japanese artist Kasama Yoyoi.

Year 9 students were recently involved in an e-safety presentation from Mr Simon Finch, Northern Grid for Learning. This presentaion was focused on raising the profile of e-safety and measures that students can take to make themselves more protected online.

Today, Friday 24th February, we had two representatives in from Laing O'Rourke construction company to work with a Year 7 technology classes. Laing O'Rourke have already been in to talk to some other Year 7s about what type of jobs are involved in the construction industry.

Students and staff returned from a fantastic and memorable week skiing in Malnitz, Austria. There were over 40 skiiers of varying abilities and each and everyone enjoyed the delightful and challenging slopes of Malnitz.
