Sports Leaders

The Sports Leaders group have been part of the Sky Sports Living scheme and subsequently get visits from two athletes. The first visit was from Steve Frew a commonwealth Gymnast who won Gold in Manchester on the rings. During the day Steve did a classroom based session with the group followed by some team building activities. He was also kind enough to stay back and work with the gymnastics group, he first demonstrated his skills before coaching them and watching some of their performances.
The next visit was from Amanda Coulson
Following their success at the multi-skills festival leadership group have been asked to run the primary athletics competition, St Joseph's Sports Day and Evergreen's Sports Day. It's great to continually develop links with local schools and clubs through the leaders.
