We feel it is timely to update you on how we are dealing with the on-going situation concerning the coronavirus. Schools have been asked to remain open unless specifically instructed to close from Public Health England. We will of course continue to review our risk assessment and follow Government guidance as it is published. On this note sport fixtures, extra-curricular activities and day trip/events will be cancelled/postponed until further notice.
We take the health and safety of our pupils and staff very seriously, so we are sharing guidance from Public Health England on steps everyone should take to avoid the spread of the virus.
Could parents/carers refrain from using the Bishop Auckland College site for parking, dropping off and picking up St John's students. The college has asked us to make it very clear that these actions are not permitted at any time, on their site.
For #WorldBookDay2020 all staff and students shared Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl for 10 minutes every lesson. Fantastic feedback from staff and students! Let's all #BeKind and #ShareAStory with someone this weekend!
