December 2018

Dear Students, Families and Friends of St John’s,

In this season of Advent, the acts of giving and receiving are at the very heart of Christmas and, this year, our students and staff have participated in many activities, which have supported individuals both within and beyond our learning community.

On behalf of all the Governors and staff at St John’s, I would like to wish you and your families a very happy and peaceful Christmas.

Best wishes,

Come and join the Great Advent Windows Christmas Stories and Carols Walk on Monday 24 December
Follow the trail and see St John's beautiful Peru window at the Town Hall!

On the last Friday of every month the Arc, supported by the music department, are holding an acoustic guitar session for students to come and play/sing for other students who are having their lunch there. The first two sessions have gone very well and have been enjoyed by performers and audience alike.

Outstanding performances tonight by both the Year 7 boys and girls teams at their football tournament at Parkside.

Year 7 girls won the tournament and are now unbeaten in 5 games, qualifying for the next tournament against other schools in the region.

Year 7 boys were runners up, winning 4 games out of 5 within the tournament.
