An exciting programme packed full of fun, fine vocals, drumming and dance!

Thursday 25th September at 7pm in the Fred Wilson Community Hall

Wednesday 26th February, 5pm Bishop Auckland Market Square near the Town Hall.

As part of Febfest 2014, students have been very busy preparing a performance including live music, visuals and dance in what could almost be described as a mini Lumiere experience.

The concert by Rob Heron and the Tea Pad Orchestra is taking place on

       Wednesday 6th November, 7pm in the Fred Wilson Community Hall.

The band is a hot six-piece featuring guitars, mandolin, harmonica, accordion, double bass, percussion and occasional trumpet. They’re more eclectic than most mixing Western, Swing, Gypsy Jazz, Hokum Blues, Ragtime and roots of Country.

Come along and we can guarantee you will enjoy a fantastic evening!

Last week we welcomed The Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir, an exciting touring choir of 18 energetic young people aged 10 to 18 from Uganda who are here to raise awareness and much needed funds to sustain and improve the standard of education, healthcare and living conditions in their schools.

Celebrating an evening of music in a Year of Faith, July 3rd 2013. Over 300 young musicians from our 13 schools will be performing individual school pieces as well as coming together as a choir, orchestra and a mass big band.

 

This is always a very special concert filled with musical flair, fun and friendship.

'Jazz In My Pants' - AKA 'JIMP' - were invited to perform at the Winter Wonderland celebrations on Thursday 20th December. The band are made up of students from various schools across county Durham - including our own Laurie Kalus - and they have just recently performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The band performed a variety of pieces throughout the course of the afternoon in their high energy Jazz inspired style!

 

 

On Wednesday 20th December 44 students from 'Forte!' and 'Blown Away' were given the opportunity to perform on the main stage at the Metro Centre. The band and choir performed a selection of traditional and modern Christmas pieces from 2pm to 4pm and were well received by the audience. Any money raised from the event will be donated to Project Peru.

A selection of students were invited to perform at the Cumbria Lodge Retirement home on Tuesday 18th December 2012. The students performed a selection of Carols and traditional Christmas songs that were well received by the residents.

 On 14th December Forte! were invited to perform at the Bishop Auckland Choral Society annual Christmas Concert held in Bishop Auckland Town Hall. The students performed a selection of pieces from their repertoire, ranging from traditional carols to modern melodies.
