St John’s Skiing Trip 2014

This Easter St John’s students enjoyed an amazing week in the sun and snow in Aosta Pila, Italy. 21 students from Year 8 to 12 took to the slopes for a fantastic trip.

The student’s ranged from beginners to expert skiers however during their lessons all made improvements. The beginners did especially well and all managed a red run on only their third day of skiing which is exceptional. Others progressed onto black slopes.

As well as the skiing the group also enjoyed a range of apres ski including ice skating, pizza night, ice cream and tour of Aosta town, disco and presentation night. The group were in fantastic spirits all week with highlights of singing on the bus and possibly the best “dance off” that Aosta has ever seen with thanks to Jonathan Payne and Daniel Edgar.

At the end of the week there was a presentation evening where students were given their skiing awards. Well done to Daniel, and Molly who achieved 5 star awards.
