On Monday 27 March, 15 students from Year 9 and 10 took the long journey from Bishop Auckland to Senlis, France to take part in the Le Fèvre project with our partner school Collège Anne-Marie Javouhey (AMJ).

St John's Year 7 Boys came 4th in the County Sports Hall Athletics Finals which took place on March 24th at Spennymoor Leisure Centre.

Congratulations to the MADD Group and Matthew Bradley who won awards at the Northern Echo Education Awards 2017.

Year 12 and 13 Pilgrimage Walk from Finchale Abbey to Durham Cathedral

On Wednesday 29 March, Dan Freedman, bestselling author of the Jamie Johnson series, will be coming to our school! This will be an amazing experience for Year 7 when we will be able to discover facts about Dan’s background and what inspired him to become an author.

St John’s instrumentalists and singers worked hard in preparing and delivering a sell-out concert in Bishop Auckland Town Hall in February this year. The programme offered plenty of variety with soloists and duets, featuring the school wind band and choir alongside a special appearance from the Wear Valley District Wind Band.

Under 14's boys Indoor Cricket Team came 2nd in County Finals losing by one run on the last ball of the game.

Year 7 and 8 students represented the school in a local school sportshall athletics competition.
