At this time of year students from all year groups, as well as staff, are very busy preparing our annual Christmas Celebration which will take place on Tuesday, 15 December at 6.00pm. The celebration will be followed by light refreshments and we warmly invite you to join us and share our Christmas journey, enacted through music, drama and mime.
A number of Year 12 students studying photography here at St John’s have recently been working with Bowes Museum to produce work influenced by the visiting Artist Room Exhibition which is currently showcasing the work of Robert Mapplethorpe, one of the most renowned and accomplished photographers of our time.

Art students in Year 9 were pleased to take part in this year’s Community Art Exhibition in Tow Law. The theme was community. Brianna Twedall, Calista Donovan, Megan Stoker, Lily Bonas, Paul Ughra, Jennifer Hindle, Katie Hook and Shauner Molloy all spent a day at the Community Centre working with artist Alison Diamond and helping children from Blessed John Duckett Primary School and Millennium Primary School to create two splendid silk screen printed banners.
