Please be aware that we have received notification from Durham County Council regarding threats made to schools across the country. Please be assured that your child’s safety is always of paramount importance to us. Fantastic support for World Book Day by St John’s staff and students. Well done everyone.


Rescheduled for FRIDAY 9 MARCH

  • All students, teachers and support staff are encouraged to dress up as a character from a book that they have enjoyed
  • Student costumes will be judged throughout the day and a prize awarded to the best costume from each Year group
Charlotte Newbold and James Nodding both recently attended a charity event at Bishop Auckland Town Hall to play music to the guests. The Bishop Auckland Town Mayor hosted a Valentine Ball in February in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance. Charlotte and James both provided instrumental piano music during the course of the evening.

‘Developmental Coordination Disorder: The Hidden Handicap’ at Richmond School on 9th February 2018 - 9am - 1pm. This event is also relevant to parents. Please pass the leaflet on.

Music from the Movies: Students are preparing for a concert at Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Monday 5 February, 7pm. Tickets will be on sale from January 22 in school, costing £4 and £3 concessions.




Safer Internet Day 2018 will take place on Tuesday 6th February with the slogan “Create, Connect and Share Respect: A better internet starts with you”.
