Olympic Sports week

During the whole life learning week 96 students signed up to take part in an Olympic Sports week. The students were split into 8 different Counties and competed in different events to gain points for their Country. It was a fantastic week which enabled students to try a range of different sports that they may not have done before. Activities included tennis, wrestling, hockey, handball, synchronised swimming, BMXing, kayaking, rowing, archery and finished with a triathlon. We also had a few hours on the beach to relax. After 4 days intense competition we finished with a closing ceremony which involved each county completing 2 laps of the gym with an Olympic torch. The winners of the week were China and the athlete of the week for showing excellent performance and team working and demonstrating excellently the Olympic values was Chloe Allison.
