"A Learning Community Guided by Gospel Values"

Student Finance event at Newcastle University

There is currently a lot of confusion surrounding Higher Education funding and how students can afford to fund their time at university. Many students are being unnecessarily deterred from applying to university due to misconceptions about student debt, rather than basing their decision on how much it’s actually likely to cost them.

We would like to invite the parents and carers of pupils at your school/college and the pupils themselves to ‘Student Finance - the Real Deal’ taking place at Newcastle University on Wednesday 7 December 2011 from 6pm - 8pm. The event is part of ‘National Student Finance Day’ and is aimed at parents and carers of students in Years 11, 12 and 13 or currently at college.

This event will help parents and pupils to understand how the new student finance package works by providing relevant information about Higher Education funding. It will enable them all to make an informed decision about going to university.

This event is free to attend but parents will need to book a place. To find out more information and to book places please visit:www.ncl.ac.uk/partners/realdeal.htm or call 0191 222 6094.
