Dance and Gymnastics Show

Over 50 students took part in this year's dance and gymnastics show to showcase and celebrate their talents with their family and friends. Students ranged from competitive dancers and gymnasts to those who do it only during extra-curricular clubs for enjoyment. It is very rewarding to see students working hard to achieve their goals, and very often making new friendships along the way. Students choreographed their own routines, working through challenges and showing real dedication and enthusiasm. Over £1000 was raised over both evenings, with 2 Sixth Form students raising money for Project Peru and money also going towards the development of dance and gymnastics within St John's.  My favourite part of the show is always at the very end when all students come out smiling to present themselves as one large united group to the audience. I experience an overwhelming sense of pride in our students to have not only the ability but also the confidence to perform their own work to such a large audience. Well done! (Ms Smith)
