The Source

The Source

Students in Year 9 and above have the opportunity to attend an event called The Source which is led by the Diocesan Youth Ministry Team. The event will take place at St Mary's Cathedral, Newcastle. The sessions give young people from across the diocese the opportunity to celebrate their faith through prayer, music and drama.

The school mini bus will leave St John’s school at 5.00pm and will arrive back at approximately 9.15pm. Students will need to pay £4 each time they attend to help with the cost of transport. Payment can be made via parent pay or by cash or cheque. Students will have the opportunity to go to McDonalds on the way to the Source, therefore they will need to bring some spending money.
The dates for The Source are:
4 October 2017

Staff In Their Eyes

Staff In Their Eyes

On 15 and 16 March 2018 the staff and Sixth Form students will be performing as their musical heroes as part of our musical extravaganza - Staff in their Eyes.

This exciting event is to help raise funds for our Project Peru and the money collected will go towards the building work undertaken during July's visit to Iquitos in 2018.

Tickets for the event will be on sale from Monday 15 January from Mr Morley in C2 and we are hoping to fill our Main Hall with audience members. This is an exciting and popular event at St John’s so we encourage you to buy your tickets early. Ticket cost £10 for adults and £7 for concessions.

To support the event we are looking for sponsors who may wish to buy advertising space in our publicity material and programme. If you are interested in promoting your business (or know someone who would), please contact Richard Morley at rmorley@stjohnsrc.org.uk for further information and details.
