Alistair Humphrey Visits St John's

On 14th March Al Humphrey came in to St John's to speak to year 7 about his adventures around the world.
His main adventure was spending 4 years cycling around the world. He spoke with passion about where he had been and who he had met and the importance of challenging yourself both physically and mentally. He had strong messages about not giving up by breaking down what seem like large challenges into small manageable challenges. His adventures also included rowing across the Atlantic Ocean. He also shared stories of sleeping in tents near lions, cycling through +40 and -40 degrees and eating boiled mice.

Al spoke for approximately 40 minutes and answered students questions. It was a fascinating and inspiring talk.
